Welcome to Tesfa Football Club!

Tesfa FC is a football club in Asmara, Eritrea. Both the Tesfa women's team and the Tesfa men's team play in the top leagues of Eritrea. The women's team has won gold in the Eritrean league the last three years. In 2005 the men won bronze medals in the league, which is their best achivement so far. Through the years, Tesfa has produced several players for the Eritrean National Team, both women and men. 

The club also has a huge children department with over 150 teams participating in their children tournament. All these teams play every weekend at different fields in Asmara. Among the staff that coordinate the tournament (team leaders, referees, organisational staff) there are around 75 disabled people.

Tesfa has also included four teams from Asmara deaf school in their tournament and is working hard to include more children with disabilities in their activities. Another example is the team's effort in involving blind students. 11 girls and 13 boys from the Blind School in Asmara are now training Goal Ball with Tesfa every week and rumors say they are performing better and better every time. Goal ball is a three a side game played with a ball with a bell inside, where points are earned whenever the ball crosses the goal-line of the opposite team.
