Tesfa History

Terje Thodesen is the great founder of Tesfa. He came to Asmara for the first time in 1993, shortly after the country got its independence. One of his great passions is football, and it did not take long before he proposed to start a children tournament in collaboration with the Eritrean school system. More and more teams entered, but due to some complications, the tournament was not allowed to continue. Despite the closing of the tournament, Terje decided to follow up his own team from the tournament, Tesfa. The Tesfa team has been growing ever since, and includes today teams in all top divisions (men and women) in addition to a huge children tournament.
